Neogen Chemicals to Invest ₹45 Crore in Organo-Lithium Capacity Expansion at Patancheru, Telangana

Neogen Chemicals Limited has announced an investment of up to ₹45 crore to expand its existing organo-lithium chemicals manufacturing facility at Patancheru, Telangana, strengthening its position in the specialty chemicals sector.

The company's Board of Directors approved the expansion on October 31, 2026, increasing annual production capacity from 300 metric tonnes to 600 metric tonnes, effectively doubling the facility's existing capacity.

The proposed investment will be financed through internal accruals and debt, with implementation targeted by the end of the next financial year.

According to the company, the expansion could generate additional annual revenue of ₹150 crore to ₹200 crore, depending on prevailing lithium prices.

The project aims to address growing demand for specialised organo-lithium compounds used in pharmaceutical intermediates, specialty chemicals and emerging industrial applications.

The capacity enhancement is expected to improve operational efficiency, strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities and support Neogen Chemicals' long-term growth strategy in India's expanding specialty chemicals industry.
