Tata Steel Announces Major Jharkhand Expansion with ₹10,000 Crore Investment.

Tata Steel recently said it plans to invest ₹10,000 crore in its projects in Jharkhand by 2028, a move that is expected to create around 2,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The company is targeting an increase in its steelmaking capacity in India to 40 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) from the current 27.35 MTPA through capacity expansion and adoption of low-emission steel production technologies.

“Tata Steel is committed to invest ₹10,000 crore in its Jharkhand projects, including ₹7,000 crore in Hisarna and Easy Melting Technology by 2028. In total, the investment will create 2,000 direct and indirect jobs,” a company official said.
