Tata Power: Spent Rs. 1,000 cr on transmission network.

Tata Power recently said it has spent nearly Rs. 1,000 crore in the last 3-4 years to strengthen its transmission network which carries nearly 60-70 per cent of the bulk power consumed by Mumbai.

'Our transmission system is a key inter-link between the generation and distribution of power as it plays a two-fold role by linking the city with Maharashtra state grid as well as the National Grid. We have already spend nearly Rs. 1,000 crore on strengthening the network,' Executive Director Operations S Padmanabhan said in a statement.
