Tata mulls township project in Ahmedabad.

The property development arm of the Tata Group of companies, Tata Housing, plans to set up a township of luxurious residential and commercial space in Ahmedabad.

The company is said to be in talks with city-based Venus Group of companies for multiple premium housing projects. According to sources, Tata is keen on investing in a 3 million square-foot property owned by Venus, located near Nehrunagar.

Venus Group owner Rajesh Vaswani confirmed that Tata Housing had approached him. 'We had received a query from Tata Group about three months ago but nothing has happened after that. We are in talks with some other builders too, but nothing has been finalized yet,' Vaswani said.
