Tata Motors to Begin Hydrogen Bus Production in Lucknow.

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, recently announced plans to begin production of hydrogen-powered buses at its Lucknow facility, marking a significant push toward clean mobility.

The announcement was made by Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during an event celebrating the rollout of the 10-lakhth vehicle from the Lucknow plant.

Addressing the gathering, Chandrasekaran said the company is preparing to manufacture both hydrogen fuel cell buses and hydrogen internal combustion engine (ICE) buses at the facility. He described the move as a major step toward enabling sustainable long-haul transportation solutions in India.
