Tata Chemicals proposes Rs. 250 cr investment in Andhra Pradesh.

Tata Chemicals plans to invest Rs. 200-250 crore for the development of nutritional products in Andhra Pradesh.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government in this regard on January 28, 2017.

In a BSE filing, Tata Chemicals said, “The company has signed an MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh during the 2nd Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Investment Meet for creation and development of Biotechnology-based nutritional products such as Oligosaccharides and other nutritional products in Nellore district involving investments of approximately Rs. 200-250 crore.”

Tata Chemicals is a Tata group firm engaged in the manufacturing of chemicals, salt and fertilisers. It also sells pulses and spices, among others.
