Suzlon Secures 642 MW Wind Power Project Order from Evren

Suzlon Energy Ltd experienced a 1.92% increase in its shares after securing a substantial order from Evren Company, specifically from 'ABC Cleantech Pvt Ltd (ACPL),' a joint venture between Brookfield and Axis Energy. The order entails the supply of 214 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a rated capacity of 3 MW each for a sizable 642 MW wind power project located in Andhra Pradesh. Suzlon will deploy its larger-rated 3 MW S144-140m turbines for the project.

Under the agreement, Suzlon is responsible for providing the wind turbines, managing installation and commissioning processes, and delivering operations and maintenance services post-commissioning. The anticipated impact of the project is significant, as it is expected to power around 5.28 lakh households and contribute to an annual reduction of approximately 20.87 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions.

JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, highlighted the company's dedication to offering a product portfolio tailored for the Indian wind regime and contributing to the growth of India's renewable energy capacities. He underscored Suzlon's commitment to unlocking the wind energy potential in India, particularly in Andhra Pradesh.
