Suchirindia to commission budget hotel, plans to develop theme park.
Suchirindia, the real estate, hospitality and Infrastructure Company, is set to commission a budget hotel in the city before the end of the year and Club Republic, the latter positioned as a music-cum-entertainment zone.
Y. Kiron, CEO and MD of Suchirindia, said the company is again getting back to main stream real estate later a prolonged phase of downturn. This will see the company redeveloping a luxury villa project and a mixed used project in Hyderabad.
Addressing a select group of journalists, he said that the company, which owns and runs two resorts close to the city, is planning to set up a large amusement theme park on a 250-acre site near Hyderabad.
The company is awaiting the new Government policy initiatives encouraging tourism projects in the State. This will then help the company redraw the detailed project report and present it for Government approval.
He said the company is in discussions with global consultants Attractions International, Sanderson LLC for designing the theme park, which he said would be first of a kind in the country.
The new Government in Telangana has announced its plans to come out with new industrial and tourism policies and also address the concern of the real estate sector, removing bottlenecks. Once this is done, the company will also take up new projects in the real estate, he said.
Referring to its 220 room hospitality project in Sri Lanka, he said that the company was in talks with private equity players to raise funds for new projects.
