Stone laid for UGD in Siddipet

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said the underground drainage work being taken here will meet the requirement of the city for the next 100 years. The underground drainage was being laid at a cost of ₹315 crore with two STPs at Narsapur and Chintal. Laying the foundation on Tuesday, he said work would be completed within two to three years, whereas it has been taking more than five years in Karimnagar and Vikarabad. The drain spread over 32.4 km will connect as many as 25,126 houses. He said that the newly constructed houses in the city need not construct septic tanks.
