Speaker Meets Venkaiah Naidu, Seeks Widening of NH-363 to Six-lane Road.

Telangana Assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary called on Union urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi recently and discussed widening of the four-lane NH-363 that is passing through the town of Bhupalapally to a six-lane road.

Chary represents Bhupalapally which is in Warangal district. Chary also discussed with Naidu some other developmental projects concerning his constituency.

Madhusudhana Chary told Venkaiah Naidu that a section of the new NH-363 was passing through the coal belt and industrial (KTPS) area. The famous pilgrim centre, Kaleswaram, is also situated on this road because of which there is heavy vehicular traffic on the road throughout the year. “Besides, vehicles carrying heavy loads and multi-axle vehicles ply on this road carrying coal from the Bhoopalapally mines and sand from Godavari river. The heavy loads of industrial, forest and agricultural products are damaging the four-lane carriageway,” Chary said.

To ease congestion on this road, the chief engineer of R&B (NHs), Telangana has prepared an estimate for Rs. 13.42 crore for widening the existing four-lane road to six-lane road including for work on drains and footpaths on either side within Bhupalapally town limits, and submitted it to the chief engineer in the Union ministry of road transport and highways.

Chary requested Naidu to take up the matter with Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari. Naidu assured him that he would so so, and also said that all possible support would be given for undertaking developmental works in the latter’s constituency.
