"SJVN Green Energy Ltd Completes Commissioning of 100 MW Raghanesda Solar Power Project"

SJVN Ltd's wholly owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has announced the successful commissioning of the 100 MW Raghanesda Solar Power Project in Banaskantha district, Gujarat.

This milestone was achieved after SGEL secured the project at a tariff rate of ₹2.64 per unit through a competitive tariff bidding process conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). A 25-year Power Purchase Agreement has been inked between SGEL and GUVNL.

The construction and development costs for the project amount to ₹642 crores. Initial projections suggest that the project will generate 252.3 MUs of energy in the first year alone, with an estimated cumulative energy generation of 5,805 MUs over the span of 25 years.

The company's progress aligns closely with its ambitious vision of achieving 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040. This strategic roadmap mirrors the Government of India's commitment to generating 50% of its energy from non-fossil fuel-based resources by 2030. SJVN Ltd continues to propel towards its targets, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable energy production and environmental stewardship.
