SJVN Achieves Record Electricity Generation at Rampur Hydro Station.

SJVN’s 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station (HPS) in Himachal Pradesh has achieved its highest-ever power generation, producing 2,098.03 million units on March 26, 2026, surpassing its previous record set in FY 2019-20.

Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, announced the milestone, highlighting the plant’s consistent performance and its contribution to the region’s power supply.

Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, witnessed the record-breaking generation during his visit to the Rampur Power House. He interacted with the team, including OEM representatives, and lauded their dedication, urging employees to continue striving for excellence in future operations.

Sh. Vikas Marwah, Head of Project, Rampur HPS, dedicated the achievement to SJVN’s visionary leadership and the collective efforts of all employees. Senior officials, including Sh. Rajeev Kapoor, HOP, NJHPS, and Sh. Vivek Sharma, HOP, LHEP-1, were also present to mark the occasion.

Since commissioning, Rampur HPS has consistently delivered outstanding performance, setting multiple benchmarks in hydroelectric generation. Notably, the plant achieved its Design Energy target of 1,878 million units for FY 2025-26 on December 8, 2025—the fastest such achievement since commissioning.
