Sikanderpur flyover to open today.

Having missed three deadlines, the three-lane one-way Sikanderpur flyover will eventually open to the public on Saturday. The 740-m long flyover connects Cyber City to Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road and is expected to ease traffic on the stretch.

The flyover, which is part of the 16-lane HUDA-DLF expressway connecting the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway with the Golf Course Extension Road, will be inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Built at a cost of Rs.16.5 crore, the construction for the flyover had started in 2012 and it was supposed to be opened for public by September 15, 2014 after having missed an earlier deadline. It was then rescheduled for opening in November last, but it could not be opened due to encroachment on a piece of land near it.
