SECI Signs Agreements to Supply 7.24 Lakh Tonnes Per Year of Green Ammonia to Fertiliser Firms.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) recently said the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), acting as an intermediary aggregator, has executed Green Ammonia Sale Agreements (GASA) for the supply of 7.24 lakh tonnes per annum (TPA) with leading fertiliser companies.

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, said the exchange of Green Ammonia Purchase Agreements (GAPA) and GASA marks a significant step toward strengthening India’s energy security, particularly at a time of global uncertainty.

He was speaking at an event for the exchange of green ammonia agreements for the fertiliser sector under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the ministry said.
