Saint-Gobain Starts Construction of New Glass and Insulation Lines in Chennai.

Saint-Gobain announced recently that it has begun construction on its new 7th float glass line and 5th mineral wool insulation line at its facility in Oragadam, Chennai.

The expansion is a significant step, underscoring the company’s strategic commitment to bolstering its local manufacturing capabilities and accelerating its growth within the Indian market.

The new float glass line will have a production capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, which will substantially increase Saint-Gobain's ability to meet the rising demand for high value-added glass in the construction sector. The company stated that the new line is designed with its global sustainability goals in mind, incorporating advanced digital technology to minimize energy use and environmental impact.
