Saint-Gobain India–Gyproc Inaugurates Manufacturing Plant in Visakhapatnam.

Saint-Gobain India–Gyproc has commissioned India’s first Near-Net Zero Gypsum Ceiling Tiles Plant in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step in the company’s sustainability and manufacturing expansion efforts.

“This investment strengthens our manufacturing footprint in India and enables us to scale low-carbon ceiling solutions closer to key markets,” Sudeep Kolte, Managing Director of Saint-Gobain Gyproc India, said in a statement on Monday.

The plant, which was commissioned in December 2025, has an annual production capacity of 5 million square metres and will produce Gyprex PVC Laminated Gypsum ceiling tiles, catering to the growing demand for eco-friendly and energy-efficient building materials in India.
