Sahara India , East West Power , Korea JV plans 6000 MW coal based TPPs in India

Korea East-West Power has signed an agreement with Sahara India Power to collaborate in constructing and operating a 600 MW coal-fueled thermal plants in Orissa.

Under terms of the $9 billion project, Sahara India Power. and Korea East-West Power will build and operate coal-fueled thermal plants capable of generating 6,000 mw of electricity.

The project is an extension of an earlier agreement between the two companies to construct a power facility in Titlagarh with two 600 megawatt thermal power plants.
