Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple development projects worth approximately ₹33,500 crore in New Delhi, covering major investments in metro connectivity and government infrastructure. Around ₹18,300 crore will be allocated to Delhi Metro projects, including the inauguration of two new corridors. These comprise the 12.3-km Majlis Park–Maujpur Babarpur Pink Line corridor and the 9.9-km Deepali Chowk–Majlis Park Magenta Line corridor. The expanded network is expected to improve connectivity across areas such as Burari, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalaswa and Majlis Park.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for three Phase V-A Delhi Metro corridors, covering more than 16 km. These include R.K. Ashram Marg–Indraprastha, Aerocity–IGI Airport Terminal-1 and Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj.
Another ₹15,200 crore will support the redevelopment of General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) colonies in Sarojini Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Kasturba Nagar and Sriniwaspuri. The programme will create over 9,350 modern residential units and around 48 lakh square feet of office space, while improving government infrastructure and administrative efficiency.
