Rs. 26,000 crore investment proposals for Unnao at investors summit.
Ahead of the Global Investors' Summit in Lucknow from February 10 to 12, investment proposals worth Rs 26,000 crore were received from investors at an investors' summit in Unnao recently. Industrial development minister Nand Gopal Nandi, MSME minister Rakesh Sachan and state transport minister Dayashankar Singh were present at the meeting attended by 200 investors.
General manager of the District Industry Centre, Karuna Rai, said that the list of investors included entrepreneurs who were already doing business in the district.
"In the journey from 2017 to 2022, Uttar Pradesh has become 'Uttam Pradesh'. Now, it is on its way to become the 'Sarvottam Pradesh' (Best State). Unnao has received proposals for investment of Rs 26,000 crore against the target of Rs. 3,000 crore," Nandi said in his address.
He added, "There are more than 600 MSME units in the district, in which more and more investment will be done while more and more people will get employment. The situation of Unnao is such that there are more and more possibilities of investment here."
"Investors have been welcomed to invest more and more in the areas of warehousing, logistics manufacturing, etc., in the district," he said.
