Rs. 178 crore for better roads in Sangareddy.

Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao announced that Rs. 178.11 crore is being sanctioned for road works in Sangareddy district. He said that the State government is according top priority to road connectivity.

“A total of Rs. 401 crore is being sanctioned for road development in the erstwhile Medak district, out of which Rs. 178.11 crore is for Sangareddy district alone. Roads to the tune of 1,494 km would be improved and the work will start soon after rainy season,” said Mr. Rao at a review meeting in Hyderabad recently.

Informing that never before was so much money released for road development in the erstwhile Medak district, he said that he spoke to Collectors of all the three districts and directed them to complete tenders by the end of this month so that work could start soon after monsoon.

Referring to double bedroom houses, the Minister instructed officials to make arrangements for the inauguration where ever works were completed.

Mr. Rao also held a review meeting on Health department affairs.
