RPG Group Chairman Anant Goenka to Lead Expansion Across Key Verticals.
The RPG Group, a $5.2-billion conglomerate, is planning an aggressive expansion across its major business units, with the goal of becoming a significant global player from India, said Vice-Chairman Anant Goenka in an interview with businessline.
Goenka stated that the group has drawn inspiration from successful Indian companies known for their high-quality practices, such as the TVS, Mahindra, and Tata groups. “When you hear stories of companies, including TVS, Mahindra and Tata groups, which stand out for great quality practices, we got inspiration from these companies and we learned from them. It is now our duty to do the same,” he said.
As part of this growth strategy, KEC International, the group’s infrastructure arm, is positioning itself to be the second-largest Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company after Larsen & Toubro. KEC has already diversified into building semiconductor factories and is now targeting more complex project management opportunities.
