RIL & SIBUR plans a JV rubber plant in Jamnagar

Mumbai:Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and Russia's leading petrochemical company, SIBUR, to set up a joint venture for production of synthetic or butyl rubber at Reliance’s Jamnagar petrochemical site.

SIBUR will provide proprietary technology for butyl rubber polymerisation and its finishing, while RIL will supply monomers, infrastructure and utilities.
