Rajasthan Emerges as Leading Hub for Decentralized Solar Energy.
Rajasthan is rapidly establishing itself as India's leading hub for decentralized solar energy, in addition to its broader advancements in solar power. This was announced by Arti Dogra, Chairman of DISCOMs, highlighting the state's significant progress.
"In the past year, the state has achieved remarkable progress in this field," Dogra stated. "This has been possible due to the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (Kusum Yojana) at the ground level."
As a direct result of these efforts, Rajasthan has seen the establishment of 684 decentralized solar power plants, boasting a combined capacity of 1305 Megawatts (Mw). A senior official from the energy department further elaborated that 592 of these plants are already operational, marking a substantial step towards sustainable energy independence for the state.
