Delta Electronics India recently announced an agreement to supply 110 MW of its made-in-India bi-directional Power Conditioning Systems (PCS) to Prostarm Info Systems Ltd for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across the country.
Under the agreement, Delta will supply 100 units of its 1.1 MW PCS to Prostarm for deployment in multiple projects, including BESS undertakings for Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd (BSPGCL) and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML). The collaboration is aimed at supporting renewable energy integration, grid stability and energy resilience in both metropolitan and regional markets.
Delta Electronics India Managing Director Niranjan Nayak said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to India’s energy transition by combining global technology expertise with local manufacturing. He said the project marks the largest deployment so far of Delta’s made-in-India power conditioning systems in the country’s rapidly growing energy storage sector.
Prostarm Info Systems Ltd Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer Ram Agarwal said the collaboration with Delta for AEML’s BESS initiative aligns with Prostarm’s focus on delivering technology-driven reliability and performance at scale, while strengthening its energy storage portfolio.
The PCS units will be deployed for projects including BSPGCL and AEML’s 11 MW/22 MWh BESS project in Mumbai, as well as standalone BESS projects being developed by Prostarm under the Battery Energy Storage Solution Power Developer (BESSPD) model in Bihar.
Delta Electronics India Vice President (Energy Infrastructure Business Group) Rajesh Kaushal said the partnership represents a key milestone for the company’s PCS business in India, adding that the focus on localization and Make-in-India manufacturing positions Delta to play a larger role in the evolving energy landscape.
Prostarm Vice President and BU Head Prateek Srivastava said the company remains committed to advancing clean energy through customized and reliable solutions, while supporting the Make-in-India initiative through strategic partnerships.
Delta’s Power Conditioning Systems are manufactured at its facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Designed for utility-scale energy storage and microgrid applications, the systems support functions such as peak shaving, photovoltaic smoothing and grid ancillary services, with energy conversion efficiency of up to 98.5% and scalability for parallel operations.
