Premier Energies Secures $20 Million Solar Electrification Orders in Benin.
Premier Energies Ltd announced recently that it has secured contracts worth $19.95 million for the supply and installation of solar power systems in the Republic of Benin, West Africa.
Under the agreement, Premier Energies will install 750 rooftop solar systems across key socio-community facilities, including district police stations, educational institutions, health centres, and special border surveillance units. The project also includes the deployment of over 4,400 high-efficiency solar street lights and 650 solar water heaters.
These initiatives form part of a national programme by the Government of Benin aimed at expanding access to reliable and sustainable clean energy. Premier Energies will implement the projects in partnership with the General Directorate of Energy Planning and Rural Electrification, operating under Benin’s Ministry of Energy, Water and Mines.
The solar cell and module manufacturer said the projects highlight its growing presence in international markets and its commitment to supporting global clean energy goals.
