PM Modi to Inaugurate 3 Redeveloped Railway Stations in West Bengal on May 22.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate three redeveloped railway stations in West Bengal on Thursday, May 22, as part of the Centre's ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. These stations – Panagarh, Kalyani Ghoshpara, and Joychandi Pahar – are among 103 Amrit Bharat railway stations nationwide that the Prime Minister will dedicate to the public via video conferencing.

Panagarh and Kalyani Ghoshpara fall under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Railway, while Joychandi Pahar is part of the South Eastern Railway network. Officials confirmed that these existing stations have undergone a comprehensive revamp, featuring new passenger facilities and enhanced aesthetics.

"With a focus on enhancing passenger amenities, improving accessibility and incorporating sustainable design, these upgrades will not only elevate the travel experience, but also contribute to the economic growth of the region," an SER official stated.

In total, 100 railway stations across West Bengal are slated for development under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, marking a significant push for modernization of the state's rail infrastructure.
