PM Modi Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for Development Projects Worth Over ₹8,000 Crore in Ahmedabad.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a series of development projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with a total investment exceeding ₹8,000 crore. The projects span various sectors including railways, roads, power, housing, and finance.

Among the highlights of the visit, PM Modi inaugurated India’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service between Ahmedabad and Bhuj and flagged off several Vande Bharat trains on routes including Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the inaugural 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi. Additionally, he launched the Single Window IT System (SWITS) of the International Financial Services Centres Authority.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi acknowledged the simultaneous celebrations of Ganpati Mahotsav and Milad-un-Nabi, and remarked that India’s "festival of development" is underway with the inauguration and foundation-laying of projects worth approximately ₹8,500 crore. He highlighted the significance of the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail in enhancing urban connectivity and expressed hope that thousands of families would soon celebrate upcoming festivals like Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali in their new homes.

PM Modi also addressed the recent severe floods in Gujarat, expressing condolences for those affected and assuring that both the Union and state governments are fully engaged in providing support and rehabilitation.

Reflecting on his visit, PM Modi noted it was his first trip to Gujarat since his third term as Prime Minister. He emphasized Gujarat's role in India’s development and expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He highlighted the importance of Gujarat in the country’s growth, including its potential role in manufacturing, such as producing India’s first Made-in-India transport aircraft.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure and services, noting significant investments in various sectors and emphasizing the importance of maintaining India's global standing. PM Modi urged the people to continue their efforts towards national development and warned against divisive elements undermining the country's unity.

The Prime Minister concluded by stressing the importance of collective efforts and resolute determination in achieving India’s developmental goals, emphasizing that Gujarat will play a leading role in this endeavor.
