Plan to construct heliport at NTR Beach.

As part of the Smart City works, the officials are planning to construct a heliport at the NTR Beach at Vakalapudi on the city’s outskirts.

Announcing this during a review meeting with the officials here on Monday, District Collector Kartikeya Misra said that the proposed heliport would help accelerate growth in the tourism sector, besides being useful to the industrial units. He said that the services of helicopters could be used during the time of natural calamities and other exigencies. District Revenue Officer S.V.S. Subbalakshmi, Municipal Commissioner K. Ramesh and other officials were present.
