Pipavav Port expansion plan gets environment clearance in Gujarat.

AN Environment Ministry panel reportedly cleared a proposal to expand and modernize facilities at the Pipavav Port in Gujarat.

It said that the works would cost an estimated INR 11 billion.

The expert appraisal committee examined the proposal at its meeting held recently and recommended clearance.

The project is expected to significantly boost cargo handling capacity at India's first private sector port.
