PGCIL awards contract to Areva T&D India

Mumbai: Electrical equipment manufacturer, Areva T&D India, has bagged two projects from the Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for installation of two sub-stations at Punjab and Haryana.

The contract from PGCIL is for supply and installation of two'extra high voltage' projects at Moga and Bhiwani in Punjab and Haryana.

The installation of substations will enable PGCIL to increase energy load requirements in the region. Both Moga and Bhiwani plants are scheduled for commissioning by the end of first quarter of 2012.
