"Orient Cement Signs 25-Year Agreement for Grinding Unit in Madhya Pradesh"

Orient Cement Limited has received a work order from Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) to establish a clinker grinding unit at the Satpura Thermal Power Station in Sarni, Madhya Pradesh. The company announced this significant development today.

The agreement includes a 25-year contract for the supply of fly ash, signifying a strong long-term partnership between Orient Cement and MPPGCL. This milestone follows Orient Cement’s acceptance of MPPGCL’s initial proposal, which was disclosed on February 5, 2024.

The work order was finalized after further negotiations, and Orient Cement indicated that additional documentation, including the Land Use Permission Agreement (LUPA), will be signed and executed soon.

This project marks a strategic expansion for Orient Cement, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities while securing a long-term source of fly ash, a crucial material in cement production.
