Odisha Allots 70 Acres to Inox Solar for ₹4,000 Crore Solar Cell and Module Plant.
The Odisha government has allotted approximately 70 acres of land in Dhenkanal to Inox Solar, a subsidiary of Inox Clean, for setting up a ₹4,000 crore solar cell and module manufacturing facility, official sources confirmed recently.
The upcoming plant will house 4.8 GW of solar cell and 4.8 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity, marking a significant step in Inox Solar’s expansion into green energy infrastructure. Inox Clean is part of the INOXGFL Group, which had earlier announced this major investment as part of its broader commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Approved by the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), the project is expected to generate over 3,400 jobs in the region.
In an official release, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said, “This investment aligns with our dream of transforming Odisha into a green energy powerhouse. By facilitating the establishment of a solar cell and module manufacturing plant, we are not only promoting sustainable industrial growth but also creating new job opportunities and boosting economic development across the state.”
