NTPC Green to Establish New RE & BESS Projects in Bihar.

State-owned NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) has announced plans to significantly expand its clean energy footprint in Bihar, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL). This strategic partnership aims to develop renewable energy (RE) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across the state.

The collaboration will bolster NGEL's growing portfolio in the green energy sector while supporting Bihar's efforts towards decarbonization and energy transition. The MoU, signed on Saturday, outlines a joint effort to implement projects crucial for enhancing the state's clean energy infrastructure and grid stability.

"The MoU with BSPGCL aims for the development of Battery Energy Storage Projects and Renewable Energy Project for decarbonisation and energy transition in Bihar," NGEL stated in a press release.

This initiative is a significant step towards a sustainable energy future for Bihar, promising to integrate more clean power into the grid and provide reliable energy storage solutions.
