NTPC Green Energy Powers Up Two Projects with Partial Commissioning.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the successful commissioning and commercial operation of substantial new solar power capacity in Khavda, Gujarat, effective June 28, 2025.

The first project, a 142.2 MW portion of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project, developed by NGEL's wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, has commenced commercial operations. This capacity falls under the larger 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project.

Concurrently, a second part capacity of 146.7 MW from the 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project has also been declared commercially operational. This project, also developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited in Gujarat, is part of the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.

These new additions underscore NTPC's ongoing commitment to bolstering India's renewable energy infrastructure and contributing to the nation's green energy targets.
