Noida International Airport Cleared for Take-off with Aerodrome, Security Nod.
Noida International Airport has secured both aerodrome and security clearances, bringing the long-delayed greenfield airport at Jewar closer to the start of commercial domestic operations after missing several earlier completion deadlines.
On Friday, the airport received its aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), certifying that the facility complies with regulatory standards related to operational procedures, safety systems, infrastructure, navigation aids and emergency response mechanisms.
The development follows a key approval granted a day earlier by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), which issued final security clearance for domestic passenger operations as well as domestic and international cargo services.
With these approvals in place, the upcoming airport—planned as a major aviation hub serving the Delhi-National Capital Region—is now a step closer to commencing flight operations.
