NMDC starts trial production.

Public sector company NMDC Ltd. recently began trial production at the Bailadila Iron Ore Deposit 11B, a new project at Dantewada in Chhattisgarh.

An NMDC statement said the project, with an iron ore production capacity of 7 million tonnes (MT) per annum, and an investment decision of over Rs.600 crore, has been completed.

NMDC Chairman and Managing Director Narendra Kothari witnessed the launch of the trial operation. He said it was one of the milestones to achieving NMDC's dream of producing more than 100 MT of iron ore.
