NCC Ltd announced today that it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) dated July 11, 2025, from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The significant contract, valued at approximately ₹2,269 crore (excluding GST), is for Mumbai Metro Line 6 - Package 1-CA-232.
The comprehensive order tasks NCC Ltd with the design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of critical systems for Line 6 of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project, which runs from Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli (Eastern Express Highway).
Key components of the contract include:
Rolling Stock: The trains themselves that will operate on the metro line.
Communication-Based Signalling & Train Control: Advanced technology for safe and efficient train movement.
Telecommunication Systems: Essential communication infrastructure for metro operations.
Platform Screen Doors: Safety barriers installed at station platforms.
Depot Machinery & Plant: Equipment required for maintenance and operations at the metro depot.
