NCC bags Rs. 225-cr bid to build stadium in Uttarakhand.

NCC bags Rs. 225-cr bid to build stadium in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NCC Ltd., a Hyderabad-based construction company, for building a multi-purpose stadium at Greater Haldwani in Nainital district of Uttarakhand for Rs. 225 crore. Under the MoU, NCC will construct the stadium in 18 months on 30.20 hectare. 'NCC officials said the company would construct the stadium in 15 months,' state industries and parliamentary minister Indira Hridayesh said.

If NCC completes the construction before the deadline, the government might consider giving additional incentives to the company, she said.

The bhoomi pujan will be performed on November 13 by Chief Minister Harish Rawat. 'We will organise international matches at the new stadium which will also go a long way in tapping sports talent in the hill state,' Hridayesh said.
