N. Chandrababu Naidu to Inaugurate India’s First Indigenous Quantum Computing Testing Facility in Amaravati on April 14.
Marking World Quantum Day on April 14, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will formally launch India’s first indigenous quantum computer testing facility at SRM University in Amaravati.
On the same occasion, the Chief Minister will also virtually inaugurate a quantum facility centre at Medha Towers in Gannavaram, near Vijayawada. The initiative marks a significant milestone, with Andhra Pradesh set to become the first state in India to commission an indigenous quantum computing testing facility.
Officials said the development is expected to position Amaravati’s “Quantum Valley” as an emerging international hub for quantum computing research and development.
As part of the launch ceremony, Naidu will witness a live quantum system initiation, during which the cooling process of the processor on the Amaravati 1Q system—housed at Medha Towers—will be triggered virtually.
