Mumbai's Metro awaits safety nod to start services this month.

The Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar (VAG) corridor has received the penultimate clearance from the Research, Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO). This paves the way for RInfra promoted Mumbai Metro One Private Ltd. (MMOPL) to approach the commissioner of metro rail safety (CMRS) for final approval.

'The network can be opened to public in April provided the CMRS does not find anything objectionable during inspection,' said a source. Metropolitan commissioner UPS Madan said, 'We will soon approach the railway safety authority.'
