Meydan Group plans to set up Tianjin Horse City project
Dubai: Meydan Group will help replicate the success of its flagship project, Meydan City, in China by building a $4 billion (about Dh15 billion) Tianjin Horse City.
The Dubai group will join hands with a Malaysian design planning and engineering firm and a Chinese investment company to develop the Tianjin Horse City.
The agreement is designed to be a partnership and not an ownership, said Mohammad Al Khayat, Commercial Director at Meydan.
They will join hands with the government of China to share. They will support us by providing land and some companies to [provide] finance.
The project, which resembles the Phoenix bird, will cover 3 million square metres, which will be provided by the government.
The construction, which will be in two phases, will take place over ten years and will cost around $4 billion, according to the plan.
