McDonald’s to Establish Global Office in Hyderabad, Creating 2,000 Jobs.

Hyderabad is set to host a new Global Office and Global Capability Centre (GCC) for McDonald’s, the US-based fast food giant, bringing 2,000 jobs to the city. The announcement came following a meeting between McDonald’s Chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

“The Telangana Government has secured a major partnership with McDonald’s, which includes the establishment of a Global Office and GCC,” the Chief Minister’s Office stated on Thursday.

Kempczinski, along with Skye Anderson, President of Global Business Services; Jon Banner, Chief Global Impact Officer; and Deshant Kaila, Head of GBS India, met with state officials to discuss the company’s expansion plans.

According to Kempczinski, Hyderabad was chosen over other competing cities like Bengaluru due to its high-quality talent pool, superior infrastructure, and better quality of life.

During the discussions, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged McDonald’s to consider sourcing its agricultural produce locally to support farmers and enhance their incomes. He also highlighted the recently launched Young India Skills University, which aims to help companies like McDonald’s find skilled talent in the region.
