Maruti Suzuki to Develop Automated Driving Test Tracks in Andhra Pradesh.
Maruti Suzuki India has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Andhra Pradesh Transport Department to establish and maintain four Automated Driving Test Tracks (ADTTs) across the State under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The ADTTs will be installed at four Regional Transport Office (RTO) locations: Eluru, Ongole, Vizianagaram, and Anakapalli. As per the MoA, Maruti Suzuki will automate and maintain the tracks for three years from the date they are commissioned.
The state-of-the-art ADTTs will feature high-definition cameras, RFID sensors, real-time analytics, and an integrated IT system to enable a fully technology-driven, standardized, and objective driving licence testing process. With zero human intervention, the system aims to make licence testing more efficient, transparent, and comprehensive.
The automated tracks are designed to assess candidates rigorously according to Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), and test results will be generated automatically, ensuring a fair and standardized evaluation process.
