Mangaluru to get Kudremukh water.

KIOCL Ltd. (formerly Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd.) has said that it has been directed by AB Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, to provide water from Lakya Dam in Kudremukh to the city.

The company is getting 2 MGD (million gallons a day) of water from Lakya Dam in Kudremukh to its pellet manufacturing plant in Mangaluru. A press release from the company said recently that KIOCL would abide by the directions of the State government.
