Maha Govt to develop mega cities around the corridor

Mumbai: Maharashtra Government would soon set up a separate cell to expedite works under Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

The cell would function under the guidance of the Secretary of the Industry Department and CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation.

The Government also wants to link the largest container port JNPT to the ambitious Corridor project, the DMIC Development Corporation to align JNPT with the Corridor route.

The government is also considering a plan to develop Dhule, Aurangabad, Nashik and Dighi, which come within 150 km radius from the Corridor alignment, as integrated mega towns under DMIC
