"L&T to modernize Army’s Pinaka launchers under new upgrade contract."

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) recently said it has secured an order from the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) of the Indian Army for the overhaul, upgrade and obsolescence management of the indigenous Pinaka multi-rocket launcher systems.

In an exchange filing, L&T said the partnership with the Corps of EME is aimed at enhancing the long-term operational availability and modernisation of Pinaka regiments currently deployed with the Indian Army.

The programme will focus on managing obsolete components, upgrading critical sub-systems and providing sustained technical support to Army Base Workshops to ensure continued reliability and performance of the systems.
