L&T to Execute ₹1,234 Crore Civil Package for Noida Metro’s Aqua Line

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) has awarded a ₹1,234 crore contract to Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) for the design and construction of elevated viaducts and 10 elevated metro stations under the Aqua Line extension project.

The contract covers two major extensions of the Aqua Line network — the Botanical Garden to Noida Sector-142 corridor and the Depot Station to Boraki Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) corridor. The projects are aimed at improving metro connectivity across Noida and Greater Noida and supporting future transport demand in the region.

The contract, awarded under Tender Number 2026_NMRCL_1148041_1, has a completion timeline of 1,096 days. L&T will execute the civil works, including the construction of elevated viaducts and stations for both extension corridors.

The Botanical Garden-Sector 142 extension is a key component of the Aqua Line expansion plan. The 11.56-km elevated corridor, estimated to cost ₹2,254.35 crore, will include eight stations — Botanical Garden, Sector 44, Sector 96 (Noida Authority Office), Sector 97, Sector 105, Sector 108 (Police Commissionerate), Sector 93 and Panchsheel Balak Inter College (Sector 91).

The corridor will connect Botanical Garden, a major interchange station linked with the Delhi Metro Blue Line and Magenta Line, with emerging residential and commercial areas of Noida. It is also expected to improve access towards Greater Noida, the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar and provide smoother connectivity to Indira Gandhi International Airport through the existing Delhi Metro network.

The second extension, from Depot Station to Boraki MMTH, is a ₹416 crore project that will include two stations — Junpat and Boraki. The corridor will connect the upcoming Boraki Multi-Modal Transport Hub, which is planned to integrate an interstate bus terminal, railway station and metro services at a single location.

NMRC said the Aqua Line extensions will strengthen regional public transport infrastructure by providing improved last-mile connectivity and reducing dependence on road-based travel in Noida and Greater Noida.
