L&T gets Rs 1,250 cr order from ONGC
Mumbai: Engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro said that it has bagged a Rs 1,250-crore turnkey fast track project from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. The project comprises building three smart well platforms for the Mumbai High South field. It will involve 15,000 tonnes of topside and jackets, 58-km sub-sea pipelines and 22-km sub-sea cables. The order is to be completed by April 2009. L&T will be responsible for the complete engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of the offshore platforms.
The company intends to carry out the engineering design at its Bangalore-based subsidiary, L&T Valdel. The fabrication work will be done at its shore-based manufacturing complex at Hazira, near Surat, and at its modern large fabrication facility at Sohar in Oman.
