Qatar Signs QAR 1.48 Billion PPP Agreements for Development and Operation of Four Private Schools Over 25 Years
Doha, Qatar – October 23, 2026: Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has signed land allocation agreements with four private school operators for the development and operation of educational facilities involving QAR 1.48 billion in projected capital and operating expenditure over 25 years.
The public-private partnership (PPP) initiative will deliver four schools with a combined capacity of approximately 5,000 students across Al Wukair, Al Mansoura and Al Sailiya.
The projects include Indian Islamic School and Cardiff International School in Al Wukair, Pearl Podar School in Al Mansoura, and Al Zaytoun International School in Al Sailiya.
Under the agreements, private investors will undertake financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance, while the government will facilitate land allocation and supporting infrastructure.
The initiative is expected to create opportunities for construction companies, engineering consultants, MEP contractors, educational equipment suppliers and facility management providers.
The programme supports Qatar National Vision 2030 by expanding affordable private education and strengthening private-sector participation in infrastructure development
