Larsen & Toubro (L&T) recently announced that its Heavy Engineering business has secured a series of major international orders across Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Europe, reinforcing its position in the global process plant equipment market.
The company classifies orders valued between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore as "large" orders.
L&T's Heavy Engineering division has received significant contracts from the Dangote Group, Africa's largest industrial conglomerate, for a mega refinery project and multi-train fertiliser expansion projects in Nigeria and Ethiopia. The scope of work includes the supply of critical process equipment, including the world's largest Fluid Catalytic Cracking Reactor Regenerator Package, along with key urea and ammonia equipment.
The business has also secured a repeat order from a Japanese customer to manufacture and supply heat exchangers and absorbers for an LNG project in Canada.
Additionally, L&T has won orders from customers in Spain, the United States and Brazil for core process equipment, including coke drums, fractionator columns and heat exchangers.
"These orders reaffirm the trust and confidence that customers place in L&T's world-class manufacturing capabilities and its consistent track record of delivering high-quality process equipment to global clients," said Anil Parab, Whole-time Director and Senior Executive Vice President – Manufacturing, L&T.
The latest wins further strengthen L&T's global presence in the engineering and manufacturing of advanced process plant equipment for energy and industrial projects.
